Ariel is thrilled to join the Wildlife Learning Center team, combining her love of caring for animals with educating the public about wildlife and conservation.
Ariel was born and raised in Southern California and attended Brigham Young University in Utah where she studied Wildlife and Wild-land Conservation. During undergraduate, she completed field research on American black bears and their winter behaviors. Ariel also had the chance to work at the BYU’s Life Science Museum, where she took care of museum specimens.
After graduating, Ariel worked at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom for three years before returning to California. In her spare time in Florida, Ariel volunteered at the Back to Nature Rehabilitation Center where she assisted with the rehabilitation of native wildlife and gained hands on-experience on enclosure cleaning, food preparation, and animal care for the non-releasable animals.
